The most recent list of medical schools in China, approved by the Chinese Ministry of Education, that offer MBBS in English for the 2025–2026 academic year, has been released. The MOE China list has been released every year since 2007.
The Cost of MOE Listed Schools
The annual cost of the Medicine Program (MBBS) at fully English-medium schools (MOE China-approved institutions) varies between 35,000 RMB ($4,800) and 45,000 RMB ($6,500), including tuition and lodging expenses for one year.
Shihezi University School of Medicine is a prestigious, cost-effective, and historically significant medical institution that has been admitting international students for its English-taught MBBS program since 2002.
The National (Western) Medical Education Expert Group maintains the list, which continually assesses medical schools in China to determine whether they are qualified to offer MBBS programs in English.
