The latest list 2022-2023 of Chinese Ministry of Education-approved medical universities which offer MBBS in English has been released. The list has been released every year since 2007 when “Provisions for Quality Control Standards on Undergraduate Medical Education in English for International Student in China” were introduced.
The list is maintained by the National (Western) Medical Education Expert Group which continually assesses medical schools in China to determine whether they are qualified to offer MBBS programs in English. The MOE China List of 2023-2024 list is given below.
Only 45 universities in China are qualified to teach MBBS degrees in English and are authorized to admit foreign students, warning that teaching MBBS courses under a bilingual curriculum in English and Chinese is “strictly prohibited”.
